Fosroc Conplast SP 440 as a Superplasticizer

Superplasticizers are additives employed in the manufacturing of high strength concrete. Plasticizers are chemical compounds that facilitate the production of concrete with approximately 15% less water content. Also called high range water reducer, Superplasticizers reduce the requisite for the water content by 30% or more. Plasticizers are used at the level of a few weight percent. Plasticizers and superplasticizers retard the curing of concrete.

Conplast SP440 is a mixture of organic polymers and is delivered as a brown liquid that is instantly dissolvable in water. Conplast SP440 has been specially formulated to reduce the need for water by up to 25% without loss of workability or to produce enhanced quality concrete of low permeability.
